32 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims injured as bus skids off road in Ganderbal in latest route accident
ALLNEWS

At least 32 Amarnath Yatra pilgrims were injured after their bus skidded off the road near the S-Mode stretch at Hariganiwan in the Gund area of Ganderbal district on 29 July 2026. A multi-agency rescue operation was launched involving CRPF, ITBP, the Health Department, and civil police, led by the Gund Station House Officer. The injured have been transferred for medical treatment. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
The Ganderbal stretch of the Yatra route has now seen multiple pilgrim vehicle accidents this season. The Indian regime has deployed an unprecedented security apparatus for the Yatra: 670 paramilitary companies, NSG commandos, AI surveillance, drone coverage, and extensive checkpoint infrastructure. The roads those pilgrims travel on have received no comparable investment. Buses skid off them regardless of how many armed personnel are positioned alongside them. The Indian regime's security grid protects pilgrims from the resistance. It does not protect them from the roads the occupation built.
