Clean-up drives launched across Kashmir tourist areas after Indian pilgrims and tourists leave trail of filth behind them

Clean-up operations have been launched across multiple tourist and pilgrimage areas of Indian-controlled Kashmir following the environmental damage caused by the flood of Indian tourists and Amarnath Yatra pilgrims who have passed through the territory this season. Roadsides, natural sites, rest stops, and public spaces have been left covered in waste, with Kashmiri civic authorities and volunteer groups now working to restore the areas to a condition the visitors did not see fit to maintain themselves.
The clean-up drives follow documented and widely circulated footage of Indian pilgrims and tourists leaving extensive rubbish across Kashmiri natural and public spaces, urinating on roadsides, and treating Kashmir's environment with open contempt throughout the season.
Kashmir Conflict states the obvious. The burden of cleaning up after Indian visitors to Kashmir falls on Kashmiris. The Indian regime deploys one million forces to facilitate those visitors' movement through Kashmiri land. It deploys Kashmiri civic workers to clean up what they leave behind. The guests arrive.
