DGP reviews Pir Panjal operational readiness as Indian forces continue their cycle of reviews that produce no resolution

Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat has reviewed the operational readiness of forces deployed across the Pir Panjal range, assessing deployment positions, inter-agency coordination, and counter-insurgency preparedness across the belt that has been the site of the year's most significant and most publicly visible operational failures.

The Pir Panjal has hosted Operation Sheruwali's forty-plus-day failure. It has seen PAFF fighters evade the Indian Army's full combined apparatus. It has produced GOC reviews, Northern Command visits, Corps Commander assessments, and now a DGP review of police readiness. Each review is presented as evidence of institutional responsiveness. Together, they form a record of an establishment that reviews constantly and resolves nothing.

The resistance in the Pir Panjal is not a problem reviewable into submission. It is a permanent feature of an occupation that the people of this region have never accepted, documented by decades of operational history that no combination of reviews, drills, and readiness assessments has altered.
