Encounter breaks out in Yousmarg on Pir Panjal as site of leaked India-Israel military project becomes active operational zone

Indian forces allege an encounter has broken out in the upper reaches of Yousmarg in the Pir Panjal mountain range between Indian forces and suspected resistance fighters. The operation is ongoing at the time of reporting. No casualties have been confirmed on either side. Further details are awaited.
Yousmarg is not an incidental location. Ground sourcs have stated that the area has been closed to all civilian and media access since at least 2025, with sources linking the closure to a covert India-Israel joint military project operating in the area, a project the ULC directly referenced during US Ambassador Sergio Gor's recent Kashmir visit. The nature and purpose of that project has not been disclosed by the Indian regime.
That an armed encounter has now broken out in the same area that has been sealed from public access for an undisclosed military purpose raises questions the Indian regime will not answer voluntarily. What is being built in Yousmarg? What is being protected there? And is the resistance now targeting it directly?
