Five Kashmiris arrested in Kulgam orchard as Indian forces allege OGW network and arms recovery

Indian forces detained five Kashmiris in the Bugam orchard area of Kulgam district, alleging all five are over-ground workers of resistance organisations. The Indian regime alleges that arms and ammunition were recovered from the orchard during the operation. Cases have been registered under the Arms Act and UAPA. The five have been taken into custody for interrogation.
Kashmir Conflict applies its standing scrutiny. Whether the alleged recovery is genuine or staged, and whether the five individuals detained had any confirmed connection to resistance activity, cannot be independently verified. The OGW designation is applied with enormous breadth across South Kashmir, frequently on the basis of association, proximity, or community membership rather than documented individual conduct. Kulgam has been a consistently targeted district throughout 2026, absorbing multiple rounds of CASOs, PSA detentions, property seizures, and now a five-person OGW arrest in a single orchard operation. The five men are in Indian regime custody on the Indian regime's word alone.
