An Indian Army soldier was killed at a forward post in the Jogwan area of Khour in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu after his service rifle allegedly discharged accidentally while he was on operational duty on Sunday. He was provided immediate medical assistance but succumbed to his injuries. His body has been transferred to Military Hospital Akhnoor for post-mortem before being handed to his family.

The Indian regime describes another death inside its own operational deployment as an accidental discharge. The Akhnoor sector was reviewed by the White Knight Corps Commander just days ago. A drone was shot down in the same area on 31 July. A soldier is now dead from an alleged accidental discharge at a forward post in the same location within days of that visit.

The Indian regime's forward deployments along the Akhnoor LoC are among the most operationally active in the Jammu sector. That a soldier has died there from what the Indian regime describes as a weapons accident, in the same area and the same week as a senior command review and a drone interception, is a confluence the Indian regime will not address directly. It never does.
