INDIAN FORCES APPREHEND TWO KASHMIRIS IN PULWAMA WITH PISTOL AND GRENADE AS CHECKPOINT ARRESTS CONTINUE

Indian forces detained two individuals, Amir Hussain Parray and Shahid Ahmad Mir, in the Rajpora area of Pulwama district after allegedly recovering a pistol, ammunition, and a grenade from their possession during a checkpoint search. Cases have been registered under the Arms Act and UAPA. Both have been taken into custody for interrogation.

Pulwama checkpoint arrests involving alleged weapons recoveries have been a consistent feature of Indian forces operations across South Kashmir throughout 2026. Whether the items recovered were in the possession of the individuals detained or were placed on them during the encounter cannot be independently confirmed. The UAPA does not require an independent court to determine this before detention proceeds. Both men are in custody on the Indian regime's word alone.
