INDIAN FORCES FORCIBLY EVACUATE LOC VILLAGES IN KUPWARA AS MEDIA BLACKOUT IMPOSED AND MILITARY BUILD-UP RAISES ALARM

Indian forces have forcibly evacuated multiple villages along the Line of Control in Kupwara district, North Kashmir, in proximity to Indian military bases and camps in the area. The Indian regime has ordered media organisations not to cover the evacuations, imposing a blackout on reporting from the affected areas.

The forced displacement of civilian populations from areas adjacent to military installations along the LoC is not a routine precautionary measure. It is preparation. The Indian regime has spent recent weeks conducting multiple senior command reviews across the LoC, moving troops, activating airborne assets, and intensifying its military posture across the Kashmir frontier in a pattern that mirrors the build-up that preceded its offensive against Pakistan in May 2025.

Kashmir Conflict states what this pattern suggests. The Indian regime is either preparing for an offensive operation against Pakistan, attempting to manufacture the conditions for another false flag operation to be attributed to the Kashmiri resistance or to Pakistan, or both simultaneously. The media blackout imposed around the Kupwara evacuations is itself significant. Operations the Indian regime suppresses reporting on before they occur are operations it does not wish to be scrutinised before their pretext has been established.

Kashmir has been used as the theatre for Indian domestic politics and regional aggression before. The displacement of Kashmiri civilians from their homes along the LoC, to make space for what the Indian regime is preparing, is the occupation's most direct statement of what Kashmiri lives and Kashmiri land exist to serve in Indian strategic calculations.
