Indian forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the Samba district on 25 August 2026 following what the Indian regime alleges was the detection of an activated satellite communication device in the area. Army, CRPF, and police units were deployed across the suspected location. No contact has been confirmed and no individuals have been apprehended at the time of reporting.

Samba sits along the international border in the Jammu region, and Indian forces have conducted multiple search operations across the district throughout 2026 following drone sightings, suspicious movement inputs, and now a satellite communication detection. The Indian regime alleges each operation is intelligence-led and targeted. The pattern across the year is that the overwhelming majority produce no confirmed result.
