Jammu and Kashmir Police in Kulgam have arrested an Indian national from Uttar Pradesh following the hit-and-run killing of an 11-year-old Kashmiri girl in Qazigund earlier in July 2026. The accused's vehicle has been seized. A case has been registered.

The child was killed by an Indian national who entered Kashmir, took a child's life, and attempted to evade accountability. He has been arrested.
