Indian regime intensifies searches and checkpoints across Kashmir as fear tactics replace any pretence of genuine security

Indian forces have significantly intensified search operations, vehicle checks, pedestrian frisking, and checkpoint activity across multiple districts of Indian-controlled Kashmir, ostensibly in response to recent resistance operations and the heightened security posture following the Islamabad attack and the Kulgam brick kiln incident.

Kashmir Conflict states what this intensification actually represents. A population that has just watched resistance fighters operate successfully inside the Indian regime's most fortified security perimeters, kill an SOG constable, and exfiltrate cleanly, does not need to be told the resistance is active. It knows. The checkpoints, the searches, and the intensified visible military presence are not designed to prevent the next operation. They are designed to remind Kashmiris of the cost of the last one. This is fear as policy. Movement restricted. Communities disrupted. Ordinary life made more difficult for the many because the Indian regime cannot locate or suppress the few. That equation has defined the occupation's approach to resistance for over thirty years. It has never resolved it.
