Indian regime seizes another Kashmiri home in Shopian as dispossession campaign continues unabated

Indian regime police have attached a residential property belonging to a Kashmiri resident of Shopian district under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan, alleging the home was acquired through narcotics proceeds. The attachment has been carried out on the basis of a police allegation and a magistrate's order, without any prior judicial determination of guilt.
Shopian has been one of the most heavily targeted districts under the campaign since its launch on 11 April 2026, absorbing repeated rounds of property seizures alongside CASOs, PSA detentions, and ongoing search operations. The Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan has now been running for over 110 days. The cumulative total of properties seized or demolished across Indian-controlled Kashmir continues to grow past 200 crore rupees (£15.6 million). Another Kashmiri family in Shopian has lost their home on the word of police alone. No court has found anyone guilty. The campaign does not require that it does.
