Indian regime seizes another Kashmiri home in Srinagar under NDPS Act as campaign of dispossession grinds on

Indian regime police have attached a residential property belonging to a Kashmiri resident of Srinagar under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, alleging the home was acquired through narcotics proceeds. The attachment has been carried out on the basis of a police allegation and a magistrate's order, with no prior judicial determination of guilt.
The Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan has now been running for over 105 days across Indian-controlled Kashmir. Properties have been seized, attached, or demolished in virtually every district of the territory. The cumulative total of assets seized exceeds 200 crore rupees (£15.6 million). Over 1,100 Kashmiris have been arrested. Hundreds of driving licences have been cancelled and passports recommended for revocation. Every action has been taken without a court first determining that anyone is guilty of anything.
Another Kashmiri family has lost their home in Srinagar today. The campaign produces this outcome daily. The accountability framework governing it remains what it has always been: nonexistent.
