Indian regime police have attached a residential property worth 24 lakh rupees (£18,700) belonging to a Kashmiri resident of Shopian district under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan, alleging the home was acquired through narcotics proceeds. The attachment has been carried out under NDPS Act provisions following a police allegation and magistrate order, with no prior judicial determination of guilt.

Shopian has been among the most heavily targeted districts under the campaign since its launch on 11 April 2026, absorbing multiple rounds of property seizures alongside CASOs, PSA detentions, and the ongoing search operations following the martyrdom of KRA Commander Zakir Ganaie last week. A Kashmiri family has lost its home in Shopian today on the word of police alone. The campaign has now been running for over 95 days. The total value of properties seized or demolished across Indian-controlled Kashmir continues to grow. The accountability framework governing it does not.
