Indian regime seizes Kashmiri land in 18-year-old Baramulla case and issues arrest warrant as occupation's legal reach extends across decades

Indian regime forces in Baramulla have secured a property attachment order from the NIA Court in Sopore against Parvaiz Ahmad Famda of Kawhar Bala, Chandoosa, in connection with FIR No. 02/2008, a case registered eighteen years ago under the UAPA and related provisions. The attached land measures 12 kanals, 1 marla, and 73 square feet, valued at approximately 69.82 lakh rupees (£54,500). In the same case, an arrest warrant has been issued against Abdul Rashid Bhat of Rajpora, Chandoosa.
A case from 2008. A property attachment in 2026. Eighteen years later, the Indian regime is still reaching back into decades-old cases to strip Kashmiris of their land without any court having delivered a conviction. The UAPA does not require guilt to be established before property is taken. It requires an allegation and a court order. Eighteen years have apparently been sufficient to produce the order. They have not produced a verdict. The land is gone regardless.
