LG Sinha reviews Yatra track restoration while Kashmiri roads and infrastructure crumble year-round without comparable attention

Unelected Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has conducted a review of repair and restoration work along Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage tracks following damage caused by recent severe weather, directing authorities to prioritise the route's reinstatement ahead of the Yatra's resumption.
Kashmir Conflict states the obvious question this review raises. The Yatra tracks receive LG-level emergency attention within days of weather disruption. The roads, bridges, drainage systems, and public infrastructure serving Kashmiri civilian communities across Anantnag, Poonch, Rajouri, Kupwara, Baramulla, and dozens of other districts that have been devastated by the same weather events receive no comparable urgency, no LG review, and no emergency reinstatement directive.
A pregnant Kashmiri woman walked across difficult terrain to reach an ambulance that would not come to her village earlier this year. Kashmiri civilians navigated flooded roads and destroyed bridges while the Yatra track was being assessed for pilgrim safety. The LG reviews what the occupation requires. He does not review what Kashmiris need. The nature of colonial administration has always been exactly this: resources, attention, and urgency flow toward the occupier's priorities. The occupied wait.
