SOG and CRPF units have launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the Bhatadurian and Sangiot areas of Mendhar in Poonch district following reports of suspicious movement near a construction site in the area. The operation commenced at approximately 6 am, with forces conducting systematic searches across forested terrain adjoining the reported location. Mendhar sits within the Poonch-Rajouri Pir Panjal belt that has seen sustained and documented resistance activity throughout 2026.
