The Indian regime's National Investigation Agency has filed a chargesheet against ten Kashmiris in a case originally registered in 2022, four years ago, against a total of sixteen individuals. The ten now charged are Rubina Nazir Malik, Ashfaq Ahmed Mir, Mudassar Ahmed Paswal, Mahfooz Ahmed Mughal, Muhammad Rashid Thakar, Muhammad Riaz Lohar, Javed Iqbal Thakar, Abdul Rashid Mir, Abdul Rashid Bhat, and Basharat Ali Paswal. The Indian regime has indicated that the properties of those charged are being slated for seizure.
The case follows the UAPA template Kashmir Conflict has documented consistently: a case registered under legislation that requires no standard evidentiary threshold, pursued across years during which the accused live under the shadow of imminent prosecution, and concluded with a chargesheet that triggers immediate property attachment regardless of what any eventual trial might determine. Ten Kashmiris are now formally charged. Their properties are next. No court has determined guilt. The NIA's chargesheet is the beginning of a process designed, by its own structural logic, to punish before it proves.
