NIA raids multiple locations across Indian-controlled Kashmir targeting Kashmiri freedom activists under UAPA

The National Investigation Agency has conducted simultaneous raids across multiple locations in Indian-controlled Kashmir, targeting individuals the Indian regime alleges are connected to resistance activity and banned organisations. Electronic devices, documents, and personal materials have been seized. Several individuals have been detained for questioning. No formal charges have been confirmed at this stage.
NIA raids across multiple districts in a single operation represent an escalation of the Indian regime's campaign to suppress every form of documented Kashmiri political and organisational life. The NIA operates under the UAPA with no standard evidentiary threshold required before a raid can be conducted, no independent judicial oversight of what is seized, and no transparent accountability for how materials taken from Kashmiri homes and offices are subsequently used. The raids target those the Indian regime classifies as freedom activists, a designation it applies to anyone whose political convictions challenge the legitimacy of the occupation. Kashmir Conflict states that resisting an occupation is not terrorism. Documenting the resistance is not a crime. The NIA's raids are the occupation's answer to both.
