Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma conducted a comprehensive review of security and operational preparedness across the Kashmir Valley on 15 August 2026, accompanied by GOC 15 Corps Lieutenant General Balbir Singh. The visit followed a high-level inter-agency coordination meeting held the previous day bringing together Indian Army, JKP, CRPF, and intelligence officials to review joint operations, intelligence sharing, and counter-insurgency frameworks across both the Kashmir and Jammu regions.
Lieutenant General Sharma praised deployed troops, called for sustained operational tempo, and emphasised mission readiness at all times.
