Rajnath beats the war drum on Kargil Vijay Diwas as the Indian regime's military bravado collides with documented reality
ALLNEWS

Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has used Kargil Vijay Diwas commemorations in Dras on 26 July 2026 to assert that the Indian Army is fully prepared to counter infiltration and proxy warfare, hailing troops and pledging continued modernisation of the armed forces.
The performance of bravado is noted. What is also noted is that the Indian regime initiated a military offensive against Pakistan in May 2025, alleging it would decisively address cross-border threats to Indian-controlled Kashmir. That offensive ended in a ceasefire, produced no strategic resolution, and has since been followed by backchannel talks both governments have denied having. The war drums did not produce the war's objectives.
Now, on the anniversary of Kargil, Rajnath Singh asserts readiness again. The Indian regime has been asserting military readiness in Kashmir for over seventy years. What that readiness has produced is one million personnel deployed across a territory that a single resistance fighter recently penetrated to execute an SOG constable inside the Amarnath Yatra security cordon and walk away. The bravado continues. The occupation it is meant to protect does not.
