SIA PASTES PROCLAMATION NOTICES ON HOMES OF TWO BANDIPORA FAMILIES LINKED TO RESISTANCE FIGURES IN LATEST ACT OF COLLECTIVE HARASSMENT

The State Investigation Agency has pasted court proclamation notices on the residential properties of two individuals from Bandipora district with alleged resistance connections, ordering their appearance before an Indian court. The individuals are believed to be living outside Indian jurisdiction. Unable to reach them directly, the Indian regime pastes notices on the gates of their family homes in Kashmir.
Kashmir Conflict has noted this tactic in previous cases, including those of Syed Salahuddin and several Hizbul Mujahideen figures. The purpose is not legal process. The individuals named are not going to appear before a court in Srinagar or Delhi from wherever they are based. The notices serve a different function: they mark the families who remain in Kashmir as targets, maintain a visible state presence over their lives and homes, and communicate to the broader community that association with resistance, however distant or familial, keeps a household permanently within the Indian regime's legal reach.
