Counter Intelligence Kashmir conducted searches at five locations across Baramulla, Anantnag, Shopian, and Bandipora districts on 8 August 2026 in connection with FIR No. 03/2023, registered under Sections 505 and 153-A of the IPC and Sections 13 and 18 of the UAPA. Electronic devices, digital storage media, and other material were seized during the searches, carried out under court-issued warrants. The seized material is to be subjected to forensic examination.

A 2023 case. Five locations across four districts. Electronic devices and digital material seized from Kashmiri homes and properties in Baramulla, Anantnag, Shopian, and Bandipora.

Kashmir Conflict states what CIK raids consistently represent. The UAPA provisions under which this case is registered, Sections 13 and 18, cover membership of and support for unlawful organisations, categories applied to Kashmiris with extraordinary breadth and minimal evidentiary threshold. The seizure of electronic devices and digital media from multiple Kashmiri households across four districts in connection with a three-year-old case is not a targeted operation against a documented threat. It is the surveillance and intimidation of a Kashmiri population whose phones, computers, and personal files the Indian regime treats as legitimate evidence in a legal framework designed to produce prosecutions regardless of what those files actually contain.
