Two Indian forces personnel injured in Mendhar landmine blast in Poonch

At least two Indian forces personnel were injured in a landmine explosion in the Mendhar area of Poonch district. The Indian regime alleges the blast occurred during an attempt to defuse the device. Both injured personnel have been transferred for medical treatment. An inquiry has been initiated.
Mendhar sits within the broader Poonch-Rajouri Pir Panjal belt that has seen sustained and intensifying activity throughout 2026, including Operation Sheruwali's forty-plus-day failure, repeated CASOs across Surankote and Manjakote, and consistent intelligence inputs of resistance cadre movement. Landmine incidents in this belt, whether attributed to resistance emplacement or to the Indian regime's own anti-infiltration mine systems being displaced or detonated during operations, have been documented repeatedly across the year.
