Two Indian forces personnel injured in suspected landmine detonation in Uri, Baramulla
ALLNEWS

At least two Indian forces personnel from a Rashtriya Rifles unit were injured in the Uri sector of Baramulla district following what Indian forces allege was a landmine detonation. Both have been transferred for medical treatment. An investigation has been initiated.
The Uri sector sits directly along the Line of Control and has seen sustained Indian forces activity throughout 2026, including previous checkpoint detentions, cross-LoC firing incidents, and the arrest of individuals the Indian regime has alleged were attempting to cross the LoC. The Indian regime alleges the detonation was triggered by its own anti-infiltration mine system, displaced by rain or terrain conditions.
Kashmir Conflict notes the frequency with which such detonations are attributed to the Indian regime's own emplaced ordnance. An occupation that lays landmines across its own operational areas and then triggers them against its own personnel has created conditions of risk that compound the already documented toll of accidents, suicides, and unexplained deaths among Indian forces across the territory throughout this year.
